Know These Healthy Recipes For Lunch

Lunch is a most important meal for the ones who usually gets less time to have breakfast during the morning hours. But do you know that lunch not only feel you full at noon time but also helps to provide nourishment to the body by reducing stress and tiredness of half working day.


So enjoy making the two tasty healthy food recipes for lunch time with your family and kids.


Tomato rice recipe



Ingredients you need:

  • 2 cups cooked basmati rice

  • 2 tbsp tomato puree

  • 1 tbsp each ginger and garlic paste

  • 1 finely chopped onion

  • 2 green chillies

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 2 tsp coriander powder

  • a pinch red chili powder

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 3-4 cloves

  • 2-3 cardamoms

  • 1 piece of cinnamon

  • few chopped coriander leaves

  • Salt according to taste

Let’s Begin


Heat the oil in a pan on a medium flame. Add mustard seeds, cloves, cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon and cardamoms in the pan. Stir it well till you get to hear the crackling sound from the pan.


Add onions, green chilies in the pan and stir it well till their colour changes to golden red. Now add tomato puree, ginger paste, garlic paste coriander powder, red chili powder and salt in it. Stir the mixture and sauté it for 5 minutes.


Add the cooked rice in the pan. Mix and sauté them well for 6-8 minutes. Your tomato rice is ready to eat. Serve it by sprinkling some coriander leaves with chutney and curd.


Matar paneer recipe



Ingredients you need:

  • 1 cup green peas

  • 1 cup paneer cubes

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp garlic paste

  • 2 tbsp onion paste

  • 3 tbsp tomato paste

  • ½ tbsp chilli powder

  • ½ tbsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • ½ tbsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp finely chopped green chillies

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

  • Salt to taste

Let’s Begin:


Step 1


Heat the oil in a pan on a medium flame. Add onion paste, garlic paste and green chilies in the oil and fry it for 2 minutes. Now add tomato paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt. Stir the mixture well and sauté it for 2-3 minutes.


Step 2


Add green peas in the mixture and sauté it for 1 minute. Now add 1 cup water for making the curry and sauté it again for 2-3 minutes. Now the time is to add and mix the paneer cubes in the curry and also add coriander leaves for garnishing. Sauté it on a low flame for around 6-8 minutes. Your matar paneer recipe is ready to serve. Serve it hot with rice and chapatti.
